21th January

Oil & Gold (XAU) was crushed lower by the strong USD and EURO. Overall trading with a low of USD$1342 and high of USD $1372 before ending the New York session at USD$1347 an ounce. Oil led the commodity sell off down $2 a barrel. WTI Oil Closed -$1.90 at $89.60 a barrel.

20th January

Oil & Gold (XAU) was subdued in a range testing $1380 resistance. Overall trading with a low of USD$1366 and high of USD $1380 before ending the New York session at USD$1370 an ounce. Oil fell back in the new contract month. WTI Oil Closed -$0.60 at $91.50 a barrel.

19th January

Oil & Gold (XAU) grinded higher for most of the day reclaiming the $1370 level. Overall trading with a low of USD$1360 and high of USD $1377 before ending the New York session at USD$1373 an ounce. Oil was steady in relatively quiet trade. WTI Oil Closed +$0.15 at $91.25 a barrel.

18th January

Oil & Gold (XAU) was extremely contained staying close to the $1360 level throughout the trading day with US traders away. Overall trading with a low of USD$1356 and high of USD $1366 before ending the New York session at USD$1362 an ounce. Oil fell back slightly in light trading. WTI Oil Closed -$0.40 at $91.10 a barrel.

17th January

Oil & Gold (XAU) Gold took another leg lower falling briefly below $1360. Overall trading with a low of USD$1355 and high of USD $1378 before ending the New York session at USD$1362 an ounce. Oil pulled back testing $90 a barrel before recovering and finishing strong. WTI Oil Closed +$0.40 at $91.54 a barrel.
